i need to buy a new temp sensor for my system and i cant seem to find one anywhere. i just need the basic 2 wire, tape looking flat sensor that sticks to the cpu block, mine was closed inside the door of the pc case and shredded. does anyone know a good place to order one?

Depending on how new your CPU is, have you tried using a programme called Core Temp (link)? It actually takes data from your cpu's DTS (digital thermal sensor) instead of using your motherboard's temp sensor or any other sensor. But again it only works on newish cpus - works on one of my computers which has a A64 3000+ (newcastle, s754)

its actualy the sensor for my watrblock so i need to get a real temp sensor, im just having trouble finding one, cant cost more than $1.

I know Texas Instruments sells temp sensors, but I'm not sure if they're what you're looking for. You can get free samples from them, as I have done. I don't think it's very legal though.

FrozenCPU. The CompuNurse line of temp sensors has some interesting variations. This one is backlighted, has alarms and *F or &C readouts.
