Hi,

Heres the deal.....

I had a Abit K7TA and my temp readings for my TB 1Ghz overclocked to 1.33Ghz was around 100-103 degress (38-40C) under load. I'm now running on the Asus AV7133 and my temp readings are 102-104 degress (39-41C) when its just sitting here doing nothing....its gets up to about 107-109 degress (42-23C) under load.

Which motherboard is closer to the right temp?

I think the AV7133 is wrong.....I have a FOP38 and the heatsink isnt even warm near the base of it... Its also saying my case temp is 87F even thought it only about 70 in my room (case cover is off).....

I read in another post, and don't remember where, but that the Asus board runs hot or reads hot, but that the new bios upgrade fixes it. Try flashing the Asus bios. See if it matters, would be interested to find out for sure.

I wouldn't trust either the sensor is under the chip therefore its going to be off. Your best bet would be to get one of the radio shack jobs and check.
