Hey guys,

This is my first year really managing someone and I've been a one man shop for a couple years now. Unfortunately, I have some huge projects coming up for this year and now I need some help, I don't think it's going to be a full time gig so I'm looking to hire a part time temp guy.

My issue is...I don't want this guy to have access to everything but he does need 'some' admin access. I'm not really sure how to segregate him though.

My plan is to have him on one of the DC's (at the site he'll be stationed at) and then he'll be able to reset user passwords, etc. I don't, however, want him to be able to get out of that server or access the file server, etc. since there is a lot of confidential information stored there. I might also want him to access the Exchange server as well.

How can I accomplish this? We run Server 2008. Would I just create his own admin ID (fname) and give it admin access or create security groups for his access?
