temp delta at idle

I recently reached a 375 x 8 stable OC on my E6400.

However, the temps in coretemp are jumping really sporadically. I have it set so that the temps will change ever 1000ms (1 second). At one point in time i'll have 38C and next i'll have 47C and then it'll shoot back down to 40C and then to 36C...is this normal?

Generally speaking, no, this is not normal, unless you've got some app in the background causing spikes in CPU utilization.

Yeah, not normal. Do you have any programs running in the background? What is your V-core set on? Do you have a stock HSF?
Some more info would help out...🙂

Agreed, more info please 🙂 Also agreed that it isn't normal. Do they jump around at a lower o/c or stock clock setting?
