Hi, The front panel usb and firewire labeling on the wires that connect to the usb/firewire pins on my motherboard (Asus A8N Premium) is labeled different from my manual and i have no idea which goes where. I dont want to damage my motherboard. Do you have any additional information? Thanks

First, that is one nice case! I want to have a look at one first hand, just to see.

At www.directron.com, on the rt.side of the page,is a motherboard resource guide.
Under instalation there is a vg article on front panel USB hook-up. Firewire,IDK. It
might be there if you look.

I have a TJ03 and my friend just bought one, and we JUST set up the USB/firewire pins with an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium.

My advice is this: Pull out the USB and firewire headers that come with your motherboard, the ones that have the backplate to be installed in the rear of your case, taking up a PCI slot. Take a look at the wiring on the connectors, then match it up with the pins on your motherboard. Try to remember the colors of the wires. Then, take the front panel connectors from the TJ03 and arrange the colors in the same pattern. Plug in, and voila! done! The USB connectors are easy to plug in, but the firewire is downright frustrating, as you have to get 7 pins aligned perfectly in a specific pattern.

Here are the color patterns, from left to right, for the USB connectors: RED WHITE GREEN BLACK (no pin)

And for the firewire: (TOP ROW): YELLOW BLACK RED WHITE (no pin). (BOTTOM ROW): BLUE BLACK GREEN (no pin)

This is how myself and my friend wired the headers. However, if for whatever reason you fry your motherboard/USB devices, you can't hold me responsible :p
That said, I've used the front panel USB connectors with several devices and have not had a single problem.

No problem. I remember when I first set it up and how clueless I was... course back then, I don't think there was anyone online who was able to help. But I eventually figured it out after checking out the mobo connectors.

The one thing I still haven't figured out is the audio plugs. I don't think there's a way to get the front panel audio working, because the connectors don't match up with the pins on either the mobo or the sound card.

You can't necessarily go by the wire color code. If you have a bunch of single pin connectors, get them organized the way they need to be, then tape or glue them together. I have no idea why so few seem to think of that...
