i have heard good things and bad things about telocity should i cancel my order and find someone else ? i live in the chicagoland area

I have a friend in the Bay Area who has Telocity SDSL for 2 months now. Sad thing is, it's been down for two months....🙁. It never worked from day 1 and it's still being fixed. This could be an isolated incident but I thought I would share..

They told me that it was available at my house, so I ordered it. After about 5 return calls (couple of weeks) I found out that it was not actually available at my location. I felt like they didn't have a clue what they were doing, so I ordered Roadrunner (even though I heard you had to share and was slow). Roadrunner has been great, I usually get like 650k on bandwidth tests, and at times (provided the uploader has a fast connection) I can get .25 mb/sec data downloads (1 megabyte every four seconds, muhahahaha, down with dial-up).

i have telocity 768k SDSL in Milwaukee, WI. have had it for almost a year now, it went down for a few days once, other times it was down for a couple hours. has worked well other than that. never had to call tech support, but i hear it is bad. i got it for the fast upload speeds, no contract, no installation fee.
