Having only been in Vegas for a little over 6 months, I know I haven't even scratched the surface of what this place has to offer in terms of amazing food, but of my journeys so far, Hash House a Go Go (http://www.hashhouseagogo.com/) is probably my favorite. I've eaten there twice, and both times have been amazing. This last time I had a Boston Melt, which basically is a Blue Crab crabcake on a huge biscuit covered in mozzerella and a spicy aoli...all of it sitting on a bed of delicious fries. Ridiculous.

Tell us about the awesome places to eat where you live. What are they and what do you get?

Logans Roadhouse.
Best steaks I ever ate.

And before anyone starts: I already had all of your "superior home cooking". Believe me when I tell you the only reason a steak you cook yourself tastes better is because of your blind arrogance. Most of you conceited assholes make garbage.

Cannot say one. There is this one Thai place I absolutely Love, then one Greek place and one Mongolian. All 3 are favorite.

Amen to that.

I haven't had Logans, although my next mission here in Vegas is hitting up one of the many fine steak houses. Since my wife is vegetarian, this will be a mission that requires some research. I need to find one that has something she can eat...

The side family rooms dont have peanut shells on the floor. But they do have screaming kids.
I dont know if their prices are the same across the country but my local branch sells an outstanding 6 ounce sirloin for 7.99 and that comes with two big side dishes. And loads of free bread rolls which are awesome.

OP, sorry to hear that you have been sent off to Vegas. Whenever I visit there I always stay as far away from the strip as possible. The place is a ridiculous contrast of most everything that is wrong with this country.

As for restaurants I do not enjoy eating out as I cannot control the content of what I am eating. My wife is a fan of the local Brio in Winter Park though ...

There is a CPK in the Mirage with a great view of the Sports Book.

Is that Orlando? I thought I saw that near the motel I was staying at.

My co-workers and I just ate there a couple weeks ago when we ran through the Data Center World @ the Mirage. Good pizza.

I'd never actually seen the sports book there. It's huge!

That was the beginning of the modern Vegas Sports Book. Even Caesars had to upgrade their Sports Book after the Mirage opened.

Canada Steak Burger. Best burger in San Diego, good fries and quick service. Why is it not more popular? It's in the hood and its a hole in the wall so blink and you'd miss it. Fantastic food though.
