I'm going to be going to Costa Rica in August, need something that is a bit more rugged than my 300D, and I wanted to be able to take some underwater shots
 
SD700 + waterproof case FTW!

edit: It's a bit expensive but I guess the waterproof function makes up for it. Read Steve's review?
 
If you are serious about underwater photography, you should get an Olympus C-8080 instead with the underwater kit.
