Tell me what you think about this.......

I know there has probably been a thousand posts on these boards like this but I'm bored and just wanted to know what everyone thought of my new system. As soon as I get my mobo I will be able to put this thing together.

A sound card is pretty much out of the question because after cramming both video cards in this board I will only have one PCI slot that is useable and that is going for my TV card. Im kinda bummed about that but I guess I will just have to live with the onboard audio.

Thats about it. Let me know what you think.

I've seen better

*snifs*

😀

Pretty damn nice, although i'd go with hitachi 7k250s instead, faster HDs. Also i've never heard of the case or the PSU you're using there.

I actually have a Hitachi 80GB SATA II drive and it makes strange clicking and grinding noises that I have never heard from any other drive. It hasn't failed in the couple months Ive been using it but because of it I am a little leery of Hitachi drives.

I already had the Seagates in my current system so I didn't see any huge need to upgrade them right now. If I had planned to get hard drives with this system then I would have probably gotten something better, but the old lady is already bitchin about me going over my spending limit a few dollars.

I got lucky and came into a little cash recently. Believe me its not like I build systems like this everyday. My current setup would have probably lasted me for some time to come but I decided to get mine while the gettin is good.

dont get that expensive board. no need for it. get an epox 9npa+ ultra. witch to a seasonic s12-500. its a MUCH higher quality psu. buy a thermalright si-120 cooler, its better and cheaper than the zalman. you can pick your fan, so you can get a quiet one, or one with really high air flow.

The drives are the only thing thats not new.

As far as the suggestions you made theman, from what I can tell, that board isnt SLI, that PSU isnt modular, and I'm just not feelin that heatsink. Im sure it probably cools decently but I'm using an acrylic case and Im not too crazy about the fan looking like it is held on by tie wire. The Zalman probably cools just as well and has much more bling factor IMO.
