I have the Ipod touch 4 and for the first time I stuck my Joe Satriani Super colossal CD and imported it to 192 mp3 using iTunes. I went to sync the music and it won't sync. There is other choices to pick from in the Import settings like AAC, AIFF, Apple lossless, and wav. Do I need to use anther format to get the Ipod to sync? Is 192 MP3 to high for the IPOD to sync?

Also before I did all of that I down loaded the latest version of iTunes and updated my Ipod.

Also is there anther free program I can use to copy and import the MP3's that might be better?

No, there shouldn't be any limitations with regards to MP3s. Is there space on the iPod? Are you getting any error messages? Have you tried ripping a different CD and seeing if it will sync?

Does iTunes give any error messages? Maybe the files are corrupted. Try re-encoding the CD. I personally would use 256kbps AAC. Better sound quality over the older MP3 format.

No error does nothing. It like it does not ever see the files. Stupid iTunes crap I'll try a different CD right now and see what happens. I see it sync but will not sync the music files. I have then setting checked to sync all checked mark files also had it set to sync all music and video, no go. BRB will try anther disk at 192 MP3.

Uninstall iTunes and then install it from the Apple website. It's obviously making a connection, there's just something wrong with the syncing.

I just stuck in an Adrian Legg Inheritance and coded it to 192 MP3 it will not sync the files. This sucks I have 6 gigs free on my Ipod. I swear this is the crap that is fail with apple. Why can't I just drag and drop the damn files and be done with it. I have no problems with my COWON D2. All I had to do was drag drop and they were there. I tried some other MP3's that I ripped from my own cd's for the cowon and those files will not sync into the Ipod. I figured they had to be ripped by iTunes so did that and still will not sync. Only thing I did not try is anther codex.

How are you attempting to sync the tracks to the iPod? The cornerstone of iOS device music syncing is either to sync all the music in the library with a checkmark, or to sync selected tracks based on artist/playlist/albums. If you have it in the latter mode for example, then your newly ripped tracks wouldn't be showing up because they're probably not categorized as part of a playlist.

Some screenshots of your library and your music sync settings would be quite helpful.

Damn it I figured it out. I had to select the radio button entire music library. I had selected playlists, artist, albums, and genres. That part has seem to have broke in the latest update.
