Tell me what I should get with my $300...

I could either get a Camera (the Canon A40) plus extra memory card. ORR... A Gamecube, Waverbird, and Metroid Prime and Super Smash Brothers Melee.

What are YOUR suggestions and reasons?

Please note an upcoming trip that I would definately be using this camera for and I do enjoy Photography.

how about a CD?

Go with the camera because you will create memories that are priceless when you take drunk photos 😛

camera. every day that goes by without a camera is a bunch of memories possibly dying with it. You can always get the gamecube in a couple of months.

Get whichever item that you think you'll get most use out of. I would opt for camera,
because I enjoy taking pics and gets my butt off of couch and go outside.

Get the camera; you'll use it longer. Once the games are beat - and possibly before, if you get bored - they'll sit and collect dust. The camera you can use any time you go on a trip, or see something that nobody here is going to believe...😛

trust me on that last one. Just do a search for pics?

For me, I would buy the camera because it can give you a potential chance to be creative. You can take picutres of this and that. Once the image is on the computer, you can share it with family and friends and post it on the internet on your personal web site. If you don't know how to make a personal web site, now is the time. 🙂 Which means another fun creative project to work on. It will build your web skills, too.

Just for now, I would not buy the games because if you wait over a period of time, people will sell it cheaper on ebay. Once you play a game and get bored of it, it's hard to re-enjoy the game if you play it a future time. With the camera, I doubt that you ever will become tired of taking photos.

Definitely the camera. I've had a Kodak DC4800 for almost 2 years and I've taken somewhere around 3000 pictures with it. For free, aside from the ink costs for the very few I've printed. Try getting that much value out of a Gamecube. 😉

I would say get a A Gamecube, Waverbird, and Metroid Prime and Super Smash Brothers Melee. Cause a gamecube would be more fun than a camera.

whatever you will make use of.

if it were me .. neither, i already have the a40. then again and wouldn't spend my money on a gamecube.
