Tell me if this sounds like a bad idea

Here's my idea, tell me if it sounds insane. I don't have a ton of experience with switching cell phones and stuff, so I don't know any problems I might run into here.

I have a Motorola MPx220 through Cingular now, I'm out of my 1-year contract.

I want a Samsung SCH-i730, which is $599 through Verizon or $400 on ebay.

Here's my idea: Go to BB and get a new Verizon contract with a Motorola Razr V3c for $350 - $220 rebates = $129 final price. Sell it on ebay for $275, end up $145 ahead. Then, buy the Samsung i730 on ebay for $400. Then, sell my current MPx220 on ebay for $150 or so and end up paying about $100 or so for the new Samsung.

Input please.

I am about to spend $230 shipped for a new black one on Ebay. Like in 5 minutes actually.

I heard the new firmwire fixes most of the problems. V 1.47.

Get the damn Razr and MPx220 UNLOCKED before selling them.

BTW my friend has the SCH-1730. He works for Verizon, but got it for $400. I played with it. Nice phone but it is if you love PDAs.

I was surfing the net on it and playing music videos. Video quality is amazing. So is the sound when you play MP3s.

Downside is it has no camera, but that is the only thing he complains about.

unlocking is $30-50 from what i see with a quick goole search.
