I agree, that is a good price if the HD is the Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 7200/2meg cache.

If you can post your links for deals, please do. I am
interested in a Fasttrack ATA100 Controller Card if that
is what you found for $49.99 with $49.99 rebate.

For those like myself, who bought a CompUSA WD 45 gig hard drive
last week but couldn't get a deal with Best Buy. You have another
chance. Take your reciept and Sundays Circuit City ad to CompUSA
and have them pricematch the $210 price down to $150. With last
weeks rebates, that brings it down to $60+TAX for a 45 gig drive.

CompUSA $60 rebate should be dead as of 14 Oct. $30 rebate from WD should be good.

Anyone notice that the CompUSA and the WD rebates went to roughly the same address (WD's HQ?). I've gotten a WD rebate before, but I heard CompUSA is different. With my luck (a PNY rebate received), I'm hoping everything pulls through.

I don't have a link but I sure can get some more of the HD "deal" that I got for those who are interested with the controller+ Maxtor DiamondPlus HD (from staples)...... it's from my local stapels store....i couldn't believe it since the price on the web for the drive alone was 179.99... The Controller has a MIR of 49.99
