My day was OK. Let me tell you about it!

I went to Burger King to get two Buck Doubles, and I specifically asked for ONLY KETCHUP on them.

And guess what they gave me.... MUSTARD, PICKLES, AND NO KETCHUP.

At this point I was pretty much ready to end it all... I felt like I was living a day in TridenT's life, only 1000x worse.

Then I went to work and the two girls (they're twins:awe::awe:) I help with geometry on Thursdays made me brownies cuz it was my birthday on Monday and that made me :awe: cuz I love brownies.

Then I had a linear algebra final which made me more like :|. So basically I went from :'( -> :awe: -> :|.

Now ATOT should tell me how their day went!

Woke up kinda tired, walked to subway, train showed up right when I got the platform. Got off subway, walked 3/4ths mile to train, did a shitload of homework on train, worked from noon till about 7:30, made ok money, nothing really special happened, slept on train home, woozy on subway home, had an amazing lift at the gym tonight, did some dishes, made bbq porkchops and noodles, about to do a little more homework and call it a night.

Met with a friend and spent 4 hours talking about everything really. Got home and checked my emails. My application has been reviewed and granted an interview. So for I have 4 application and gained 4 interviews, quite pleased with myself. Going to get myself a whiskey.

Good times.

Went to the dentist (they found a cavity), filled out/mailed some rebate forms, cleaned the pool, dicked around on the computer (mostly playing Mafia II).

Figured out that at Zehrs they put the cooked chickens and wings and stuff at 50% off at 9:45. So I'm just going to keep waiting to eat til then.

Other than that I basically sat around and tried to study but really only played flash games.

Thursday was OK.. Had to take an exam at school, the last one for this year. So I had to do my usual commute from hell, which involves a lot of running, delays, and trying to sleep on crowded trains.
Got up at 7:30am, went out to the bus stop at 8:05 to take the 8:10 bus to the train station - it didn't show up until 8:22. Had to run like a maniac to catch the 8:43 train - when I got to the platform I found out it was delayed by 15 minutes meaning I could have stopped for a coffee on the way like I usually do. About an hour later, I was at the train station near my school, running like maniac to get to the exam hall before they locked the doors. I arrived about 5 seconds before they did this.

After the exam I went home and slept for 3 hours, then spent the rest of the day browsing pointless websites.

Got to work, found out I was in charge. All the management types were off in lands strange to powpow about managerial stuff. Okay, no biggy. Except, except,... except... Wednesday an employee apparently got fired. "Apparently fired" is a bit of an awkward phrase when anyone who knows anything about it is in powpow and I'm in charge. One employee who knew something about it gave the receptionist direction that if the apparently canned employee showed up, the receptionist was to escort the employee while personal effects were gathered. Then the knowledgeable employee left for a meeting with a client. Said employee didn't even tell the receptionist that the canned employee had been fired. The receptionist is a temp hire. The receptionist says "WTF"? A daisy chain of employee to employee puzzlement works its way to yours truly as I'm in charge. So I leave messages with folks one and two rungs up the ladder asking "WTF?". Meanwhile the apparently fired employee shows up, gathers stuff, and departs, 1000% more professional about it than anyone else around. My manager eventually calls back and leaves a message saying "the situation has been addressed".

I've developed a new interpretation concerning my understanding of management. These folks were children of the cold war and adopted a cold war strategy to management and supervision, namely "duck, tuck, and cover".

I drank half a pot and gathered my wits, and the neighbor came over to help me load up one of my truck toolboxes I'm building. Off we go to the other neighbor with the massive wood shop.
I measured at least twice and made some tricky cuts, and laminated a bunch of plywood spacers and cut some hardwood, and fitted and prepped and finally, at 4 PM the neighbor and i proceeded to use every clamp on his shop wall to glue on an assembly of stuff. The thing looks like a porcupine with all the clamps.
So it went like this: at first I was o_O and the coffee kicked in, then I was :confused: and :hmm: and even a little :| while I figured out the cuts and then I started laminating which made me go :), and then the big clamp session and progress, :cool::biggrin:

Shitty. Just lost a grand in stocks, then stupidly and impatiently dumped money in, down again. Story of me: never trust my own instincts and reasoning, super impulsive.

I had to go to school to take a final and see if I could get next semesters books, or at least see what I needed and buy them online.
Teacher cancelled final. Bookstore only buying back right now. They arent selling and wouldnt tell me what I needed for next semester. So I cant buy them online in time for class.

Made the hideous mistake of going to the mall cuz I needed some more heavy socks. Couldnt get in to Target because the parking lot was packed. Had to walk through the rest of the mall to get there. Yet another grim reminder of how the illegals are taking over my town, and at this point there is absoluterly no way they are ever going to leave. I am sure if the local or state government ever tried to get rid of them they would riot.

Getting out was a fucking mess because they didnt set up the little frontage roads and traffic lights to actually DEAL WITH THE GOD DAMN TRAFFIC A MALL GENERATES. Fucking ridiculous. I really need to leave Manassas. This whole town is slowly turning ghetto. Shitty schools. People act like selfish assholes. Fewer and fewer places speak English. Old neighborhoods going to hell. They keep plowing down trees to build more overpriced, dense, packed, prefab neighborhoods that are too shitty to live in comfortably but too expensive to actually afford. Even if I could get a job, which I cant because of all the illegals. No one wants to hire an American who will report his boss for abuse and demand minimum wage.


Sorry, end rant.
My day is shitty because every time I see this stuff its an unpleasant reminder. Also, around this time of year people act like assholes.
I mean even more than they usually do, which is too frequent anyway.
