ok so, ive been ummming and ahhhing alot recently. i need a new rig because the one in my sig is no more as of a long time ago. ill be taking it back to uni with me so first and foremost i wanted something easy to pack and transport. lugging my old one there an back was a chore.
i ummed and ahhhed about an iMac 20inch or some kind of potent 15.4 inch vista laptop, and have decided to wait untill June time to make a choice on those due to Santa Rosa and Mac OS X 10.5 leopard hopefully appearing in that time frame.
in the mean time i got the urge to just check out building another rig. shuttles are small so maybe they'd work as well. so i quickly spec'd one up, the price is about on par with my 2 other choices to its just a question of which. (the shuttle has more CPU power and memory bandwidth for the dough, and considerably more potent graphics)
what do you think of those choices? (dont think i missed anything, cant have an X-Fi as the shuttle only has 2 PCI-E x16 slots, and already own a dell 2005FPW)
