Tell me about settings on your Dell 2405!

Hi I recently acquired a Dell 2405. Great monitor, however, it is too bright for my eyes. I have searched lots of websites, querried and tried lots of different settings. However I am still not happy because mu eyes are hurting. I am not an expert on color calibration etc. So those who own one of these monitors and have tried different adjustments, can you share your settings for brightness, color(e.g, red, grn, blue) and any adjustments done on your graphic cards such as the gamma. I realize what works for you may not work for me, however I am hopiing it may give me some clues to try. I have seen lots of other people complain too and it may help them also. Thanks!!!
