Tell me about Sarasota Florida...

So, the company I work for is sending me to Sarasota on business. I'll be down there for 2 nights.

Any good restaurants? Bars? How's the beach?

Any good place to eat/drink that isn't terribly expensive.

EDIT:
SEAFOOD. I hear seafood is a lot more fresh down there because the places are closer to the Gulf...

Well... we have just about the whole spectrum of restaurant types and prices.

If you want to drink, hang out and listen to live music, try the Gator Club or the Five O'Clock Club. Both are near downtown.

As for restaurants, Carragiulo's is downtown. Full liquor bar and the price is right.

Just remember, it's prime Snowbird and spring break season so good luck finding parking, tables and bar stools. 🙂

The beaches aren't far; just a couple of miles.

Seafood: Try the Philippi Creek Oyster bar. Good food right on the water at a good price.

Or try Marina Jacks. Right on the bay but a little pricey.
