tell me about data recovery programs

i tried an OnTrack util but i didn't like it. after scanning the hd for 30 minutes, i wasn't even able to select the dir i wanted to recover. what software do you use? doesn't matter if i have to buy it, just list your favourites

Try Filerecovery by LC Technologies. Friend of mine claimed that it worked for her after getting a weird message that her HD wasn't formatted after months of use.
