Tell me about a way to pay for computing with computing

So I have known about distributed computing for a while and recently started trying to fight cancer & HIV, however I was wondering if there were any distributed computing projects that could help me pay for my precious DSL line. I know that the money wouldn't be much but if I could get even three or four bucks a month, but that's a meal at the little greek restaurant accross the street. 🙂 Look foward to hearing from someone soon!

I truely appreciate the rapid response I got to my post. It is always a bummer to not have your post answered. I looked into that eccp project and I have to say that the odds are certainly not in my favor so I think I would rather continue donating my idle cpu to fight cancer and HIV. Perhaps someone will come up with a business that pays people to use idle time to complete computations for a client in need of a supercomputer. If anyone else has any y insight let me know.

I usually get around 3-4 dollers a month 😛
