When I was a kid my best friend spent a year in Denmark. Then his cousin spent a year in the US living with the family. He was the first person I ever knew who wore a speedo swimsuit. He scandalized the community.

Okay, they didn't quite that far directly. The Normans (descendants of the Vikings) did eventually get into the Mediterranean and had a few go rounds with the Arabs.

I work at a factory where we produce food, sliced cold meats and sausages

we are around 300 employees
I have no education, and has worked there for 10 years.
I earn the equivalent of $ 42 per hour
I pay 46% taxes
but then a tax deduction of $ 1400 per month


all the workers at my workplace earn the same
next we also get 12% of our pay to spend a holiday for 5 weeks a year
it is about $ 8000 for the 5 weeks

a year ago I had hernias and had to operate
I received full pay during the 14 days I had to go home
and the actual surgery I pay over the tax.

I will say that I probably belong in the lower to middle middle class here in Denmark.

"Already paid for" would have been a better choice of words. This an area where the US could learn from Europe. Dump the private health insurance industry into the ash bin of history.
