Synthetic THC (maybe "THC-like" stuff) that has not been tested on living creatures for the most part. Aside from the kids using it and some lab rats somewhere I suppose. :D

smoking K2 can cause agitation, rapid heart beat, vomiting, elevated blood pressure, seizures, intense hallucinations, psychotic episodes, dependence and withdrawal.

Yup - sounds like something people would love to experience.

I was hoping for first hand experience in dealing with people who have been using it.

Over the weekend, I found out a good friend of mine has been using K2. I suspect that he is having hallucinations or psychotic episodes after using the drug. Some of the stuff he was saying over the weekend was off the wall stuff that never happened. He was telling me "remember when such-and-such did that?". I was standing there confused, because it never happened. But to the guy who had been using K2, it was like the even really happened.

I am wondering if people who use K2 lose touch with reality? Maybe its time to try to get my buddy into a drug rehab?

it's got similar effects to marijuana except that it causes some people to have seizures.

of course if marijuana were legal, it wouldn't be as much of an issue.

It would still be an issue. Marijuana is relatively safe, synthetic THC is not. The synthetic THC binds to the canniboid receptors in your brain for much longer than natural. If you experience stuff like elevated blood pressure, rapid heart beat, and so on, it'll last for a whole lot longer.

edit: Though, I suppose you meant "if marijuana were legal, people wouldn't turn to stuff like K2."

I think it'd still be an issue with kids. Even if marijuana were legalized, I think there are very few people that would support legalization to include adolescents.

Gotta be 18 to buy K2 already, why would it change if the MJ laws changed?

^ That's not K2. ^

And rehab is for addicting drugs, dependency you can take to your primary care physician, who will most likely refer you to a mental health professional.

I meant that concern over K2 in general would continue regardless of the legal status of marijuana. I was also guessing at a possible interpretation of what the person I quoted was saying.

Its just like any other drug, either you can handle it or you can't. That said for me it was very similar to marijuana, but more potent and faster acting. It hit me like a ton of bricks.

I've tried Cloud 9.

Worked like a frickin champ.

Couldn't tell the difference between it and some really good nug. The taste was different, and it smoked different, but the effects were almost indistinguishable.

Wish I knew more about it, because for price/effect it's not bad!

Is the allure of synthetic THC just a legal thing? As far as drugs go, real pot is about as harmless as it gets so I'm not sure why you'd go for the fake version...

I know little about it, but that sounds more like angel dust than any kind of synthetic weed. I dunno, but rehab isn't gonna work unless he wants to go himself, and unless the synthetic stuff is drastically different from natural, it isn't particularly addictive. You just stop using it.

They're a really good brand of roller blades that kids use if they have the dough.

Some people are in situations in which they can't have THC in their system. If synthetic cannabinoids work well for them, then I'd say it's an acceptable substitute.
In those situations, truthfully, they shouldn't be smoking.
