Telephone freezes my computer

Has anyone had this problem? Ocassionally when I send or receive a phone call from a hard line, the computer freezes up (requires a reboot). I seem to only be having this problem on my wireless machines. This started happening a few weeks ago and I can't find the root of the problem. Could the telephone signals interfere with my wireless network? Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions? Thanks.

used to have this problem in one of my older machines.............although i am using same external modem but now its a different rig...........problem doesn't exist any more......

I don't have call waiting, and I beleive the phone is a 2.4 (can't check right now). Is there a solution to the weavelength problem.

you can use a 5ghz [i think] wifi card/acess point, or get a different handset and check the frequency [NOT WAVELENGTH - my fault].....

You could try and enable 'frequency hopping' not sure if that will work though

actually frequency hoppin is built into 802.11x based solution....so in the first case this problem shouldn't have occured..........
but as u said u probably have a built in wifi adapter in ur laptop...so changin won't work......
i guess u should replace ur cordless then
