The telemarketing industry estimates the do-not-call list could cut its business in half, costing it up to $50 billion in sales each year. Implementing the list could also eliminate up to two million jobs, the ATA said.

Wait a minute, they are suing because they will be losing sales to people wo don't want their products anyway? Anyone else see a problem here?

They're just desperate and the only option they have left is to sue. Kinda like the RIAA...

Telemarketers dont make their money off sales, they make their money off of number of calls made.

Telemarketers dont make their money off sales, they make their money off of number of calls made.

You sure? I would think it would be more sensible to pay commission.

Either way, they get paid to make calls.
