My computer will post, detect the two Maxtor Atlas 10k 18gb drives. But once it shows PCI Device Listing... (then all my devices) It doesn't do anything. I have a brand new copy of WinXP Pro, and I have booted from my cd-rom before too. I have no OS installed on any drives. I unplugged my boot drive.

The scsi card is a Tekram DC-390U3. It is the only card in my system other then my Radeon 8500dv. Nothing is hooked up to primary master ide. And a burner is hooked up to my secondary master. I have checked my boot order and the only enabled is my lite-on drive. The card seems to work fine, my bios detects, the cards bios detects both drives. Each on it's own chain, one as ID0 the other ID1. It shows the ID0 drive as my boot drive.

Any ideas how to get it past this point?

if i am reading what you said right, you are not booting to anything? what are you expecting it to do? it will not boot to winxp if you dont have winxp installed...

are you trying to install winxp? if so, go into your bios and set it to boot off the cd. after the first part of the installation is done and it reboots, go back into your bios and set the boot option to read "external" or "scsi," whichever you see.

I was trying to boot to the install cd. But magically it is working now...don't know why, let's just hope it stays working!
