Tekram 395U bootable cdrom? help!

i tried with multiple bootable cds... and i cant get it to boot... i have 3 scsi cdroms 2 of which are cdrs

i have a plextor40 on id3/lun0 that i want it to boot off of

ive played with the options in mb bios (asus p3v4x) and scsi controller bios (tekram 395U) ...

anyone know which settings i should have set

other than the bootorder which i have as scsi device first, floppy, hd, ide cdrom

hehe. I'm in the same boat while I have an Adaptec 2940U. For the life of me I cannot get it to boot from cdrom. Does anyone know if the 2940U is bootable also. Sorry twobrain didn't want to start a new topics.

does it have to be in a certain pci slot??

hmm... i installed new bios for scsi card... still wont boot from my cdrom... how do you tell if a cd is bootable... ? is there always that extra file?
