Tekken 6 Anyone interested?

Did a search and found no threads on it.

Tekken DR is the only game I play on my PSP. And Tekken 6 will be the only game I have or will buy at full retail when it comes out.

I've demoed all the other fighters and just can't get into them. I just don't see the appeal of SFIV.

Anyway, I can hardly wait to get some Tekken action in HD and surround sound.

Anyone else?

3 months ago or so I was so excited about this game I couldn't believe it. I was a HUGE Tekken 3/Tag fan back in the day.

Lately though it's sort of worn off. I'll pick it up eventually, but the fact that it comes out on the same day as Forza 3 and two weeks before Modern Warfare two means if I bought it on release day I wouldn't touch it for several months.

Might as well wait for the price to drop a lil' bit.

The game has Lee Chaolan according to the wikipedia link, so I'll probably get it 😛.

My team in Tekken Tag Tournament was Lee Chaolan and Hwaorang... but I had to be careful as I wasn't very good with Hwaorang 😛. Most people only required me to use Lee to beat them though and it was especially easy when I copied my brother's controller setup that he used for Yoshimitsu as Lee's readiness stance was the same as part of Yoshi's shark attack combo.

Nah I always considered this the worst fighting game series. Probably pass unless there's a demo that somehow convinces me.

WTB Virtua Fighter 6 and SSFT4

Meh, I've never liked either of those, so we'll agree to disagree.

would it be better to get it for xbox360 than ps3? I'd assume there'd be more people playing on xbox360 than ps3...

It's traditionally been a Playstation title so it might have a bigger following on the PS3. Then again with the 360 there's a huge installment of gamers as well as better servers. I think you'll do fine with either.

If you don't have an arcade stick get it for the PS3, the 360's D pad is awful.

considering the population on SF4 on PS3 is probably like 10% of that on the Xbox 360, and match making on PS3, and the lag of PSN, I would strongly suggest getting Tekken 6 on Xbox 360 if you have both consoles and xbox live.

there weren't many street fighter games on xbox either, but SF4 seems to dominate on Xbox 360. ps2 had a buncha alphas and the sf:ac disc, as well as a bunch of other fighters (guilty gear, CVS, etc).

I'm definitely in the market for Tekken 6, but there are just a few too many other games coming out that I'm interested in slightly more. Maybe like April of next year...

Exactly what I'm thinking.

I was into Tekken big time with Tekken 1, 2 and 3. After 3, I rapidly lost interest, since it was just more of the same, really.

I might pick up 6 when it is a Greatest Hit.

I was huge into Tekken 2, 3, and Tekken Tag. I didn't seem to like Tekken 4 for some reason though, and Tekken 5 was just meh. It seems to me like the pinnacle of the series was Tekken Tag.
