So what's the question? If the question is "which I think has had a better current gen card" my answer is Nvidia, If you ask me for the previous gen I say ATi and if you ask me next I say, let's wait and see ;)

I'm partial to whatever I own... I used to be partial to 3dfx (with my badass Voodoo Banshee and Voodoo 3 ;) )... then was partial to Nvidia (Geforce 2 pro and Geforce 3)... now I'm partial to ATI (Radeon 9800). Who knows...in a few months I may be partial to Nvidia again. :)

Not really, I have loved both sides. Ati with the 9800pro and Nvidia with 6800GT, I couldn't decide between them as company ;)

I love ATI but I've had great experiences with my 6800GT so I voted for nVidia.

Whichever has the best performance/dollar ratio and is within my budget restraints.

I always geared more towards ATI until the this generation. Both companies are even now. But I voted ATI for dominating before this generation. And if ATI supported SM 3.0, OpenEXR, and FP32 it would dominate per single card.

3Dfx will always be the company that revolutionized the consumer graphics market with the voodoo1. As of yet, i have not seen a more revolutionary leap than going from the pre voodoo1 days to the voodoo1.

ATI only dominated for 1 year before this current generation...otherwise it was always nvidia!!

Where's Kyro? I :heart:ed my Hercules 4000 XT up until it couldn't play the newest generation of video games. Too bad they only make ATi and nVidia cards now.

If ATI had supported SM3.0 in their Radeon Xxxx line, I would have undoubtedly picked up an ATI card, but they didn't, so I got a 6600gt.

Personally, I like ATI better than Nvidia, but Shader model 3.0 made me appreciate nvidia...plus the 6600gt was the best bang for buck card out...

LOL...would be great if they can somehow compete with nvidia and ATI's highend cards in the future
