Teens are not having fewer babies, what they are doing more and more of these days is hiding their pregnancy from their family and then placing newborns in garbage bags and throwing them in dumpsters. That kind of fvcked up crap is happening more and more over the last decade.

I think I agree with you. You do seem to hear about this type of thing happening. Kind of scary and teen parents who do this should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I think its more the attitude that sex is only "normal" and oral and back door aren't sex. Less are having "normal" sex thus fewer babies.
 
Given a choice, I guess I'd rather my kids be fat than pregnant or thugs. At least they can exercise once they're 18 😛

I am sure a lot of the kid-throwing is just our exposure to the media. It's been happening since the dawn of time. In any case it's a scant percentage of the total number of bastard children born to teens. In my city, at least, you can take your unwanted child and give it away, anonymously, to a hospital or something. No questions asked.

How many babies have been thrown in dumpsters in the last ten years? Half a dozen? You really think that impacts statistics dealing with tens of thousands of births?

And teens aren't having any less "normal" sex, they're just using more condoms.

Yep. My states sanitation department alone estimates that a quarter million new born babies were crushed in their trash compactors within this last year. The landfills literally cannot hold any more mangled infant carcasses. And more garbage trucks are required to do the same route as before since most dumpsters are overflowing with rotting baby corpses.

Its an epidemic.

I agree. Also the news has gotten much more sensationalistic so when someone throws out there baby it gets reported much more. Not only is it on the 6:00 news it is a special report, a special report followup, the lead at 11:00, the lead the next morning, another special report, and then on the 6:00 news the next night.
