Teens react to NES / Punch Out

I was torn about whether to post this in Console Gaming or OT. I decided to share with my OT friends who, like myself, might rarely venture into the gaming subforum.

here are some cliffs for you.

obvious inept kids play old video game and to the delight of the viewer they are completely useless at it.

Kids now a days aren't really good at fast twitch games. Go ahead and beat Ghosts n' Goblins and you'll have my attention.

i spent so much money on that in the arcade 🙁

I didn't even attempt it at the arcades. As a kid, I knew I couldn't afford it on my allowance. 🙁 Same with Dragon's Lair.

Now when I played it on my NES, I almost threw my controller through the TV.

that right there is why games now a days are so fucking easy. perfect example of why mario kart is total ass now compared to the SNES days. it's so fucking easy to do anything in that game now.

Pretty much. This generation of gamers will never know "Nintendo hard."

/me goes to pay respect to his NES-PC (HTPC.. but really primarily NES emulator).

My god that cover is dated as fuck.

what really sucked about NES was when you died; you had to start over. How about Ninja Turtles game with the swimming level. WTF!

HTPC ain't authentic enough. CRT all the way. :colbert:

Also, the thought of sacrificing an NES is painful.

It actually did bother me that they played Punch Out on an LCD. If they actually showed the screen and it was stretched to fill the wide screen, I'd have a nervous breakdown.

Totally agreed. Looks so much better on a CRT. Just don't have the space for one right now.
:-(
