Teens admit hurling burritos, peanut butter from car at other motorists

This is a guy who works for me, he is the brother of the driver. Apparently this is the 2nd or 3rd time he's done it but of course I didnt hear anything about it until today. I've done some stupid things in my life but nothing quite as bad as going 30+ over the speed limit on I-5 (big west coast freeway for those east-coasterners) and throwing peanut butter and burritos at passing traffic.

It's a shame I didnt get to find this out from him, I found it out from another guy who works for me and he (the guy who did it) wont be back in until after christmas.

I'll give this a 😀

Not at night while it's pouring down rain, it's been very rainy the past week and the roads are awefull at night.

Even on nice days I would say it's more like 10-15 over in the Portland/Vancouver area.

No of course not, now if he had called in sick and I found this after the fact the story would be differant...

I think we've all done some stupid things in our lives, all I plan on doing when I see him is to give him a hard time and maybe chuckle a little.

You may want to re-think your position. If he was did it during working hours, and he caused any traffic problems, YOU would be liable for the damages.

Thats a lil much, notfred. Along the I-5, speed limit is 70 (i think) along most of central Cali. 30 over would mean 100mph. Isn't that considered reckless driving and not just speeding anymore? I think 90 should be the fastest most people go unless passing.

<== monkey dance

If he was an employee of mine, I would have fired him on the spot.

My employees represent my business, do something foolish and your history.

most of I-5 (except for LA and Sacramento) is 70mph, yeah. It's got to be one of the flattest, straightest roads in the world, though, which is why everyone cruises along at 85-90mph. Even the semi truck drivers are doing 75. 100 is really hardly faster than the flow of traffic.

Have you driven I-5?

This is a University, and he's just a work study so he doesnt reflect in quite the same way our full-time staff do. How did you act your freshman year of College?

Who knows, maybe working here has made me soft 😉

BTW the speed limit on I-5 in the city is 55, if you go further north of Vancouver or south of Portland it goes up to 65.

Never had the chance to go to college, I worked hard in my younger years and worked my way up.
