I'm trying to figure out WTF an "acid bomb" is. None of the other news stories go into detail on this topic. I'm guessing the idiots just mixed up some volatiles within soda bottles and tossed them into the store - probably some "Works" (toilet bowl cleaner) and aluminum foil.

Yeah, but unless that went off right next to someone's face, I don't see how they could cause irritation and ringing with eight people. Drano bombs are pretty mild. But then again, the last paragraph does suggest that's what they are (setting them off on lawns and roof).
