Smelly too.

I'm almost 55 years old, not quite an old fart yet but getting there. Yesterday I was on the bus just before 4pm when about 30 high school students boarded the vehicle at a stop near a school. They filled the bus and were so agitated. Some listened to their iPods loud enough for me to hear the music ten feet away. And they talked, and talked, and talked, and talked, and talked, so loud, even the girls. An incessant flood of barely articulated sounds and grunts. And they were waving their arms like Cantonese fish market merchants. And shoving and hitting each other. It was overwhelming. I felt like standing and yelling SHUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! I think I know a little bit what the world feels like to an autistic person now. :(

No, you are getting old. I too am hating loud teens and I am 45. I recall being one of those loud teens but more intelligent sounding (at least I hope). Teens today are not any louder than teens when I was one. I just have zero tolerance for loud derps today. Plus, their music is such shit! I know my mother thought the stuff I listened to as a teen in the 80s was shit, but as a middle-ager now I compare todays crap with the crap I listened to and my crap is just soo much freaking better. As least we had SOME instruments in our music. It wasnt all syths. Sigh, teens suck. My son is 17 and I raised him on good music. He still plays my vinyl records of good music to this day. I raised him well.

Um, yeah, that was there one and only hit. :) But, many "synth" groups of that era played instruments. Duran Duran played real instruments. There were a handful of synth only groups true, but today its all off a mac. Same beat, same aut0-tune nausea inducing music.

Just out of curiosity, and it may not matter at all, but what race(s) were these kids?

I totally agree with OP, even if I am 19 years old. Teens that are in high school are like 8 year old babbies.

I think the fact that they were loud and annoying has nothing to do with the fact that they were teens. It's because they were all Newfies! Fvcking Newfies always screwing eveything up!!!

Around here the highschoolers are pretty laid back, it's that 7-14 age bracket that is always causing trouble at the top of their lungs while hanging out of a window.

Guh. Girls are even more annoying than boys IMO. I'd rather endure a 5 minute session of nails on chalk board.

While I do agree they're annoying... sorry to say, you're already an old fart. Once you double the age of the young working professionals you're quite old. ;)
