Teen gets killed when he uses dynamite box for target practice

I guess they took the expression "Go out with a bang" literally. The gene pool is slightly less muddy thanks to their efforts.

What a bunch of heartless bastards here. You never did anything stupid when you were 15? I did a lot of stuff that should have killed me. Boys pull stupid pranks, that's what makes us boys. I feel sorry for their families as it was just an accident. Sometimes you poeple piss me off especially when 50 bleeding hearts line up to feel sorry for an owner who's dog was given to someone else but then point and laugh when two children, yes humans, die.

well he probably didn't realize the explosive power that dynamite possess. You shoot at all kinds of stuff as a kid b/c it's fun to blow stuff up. He probably thought it would be a cool explosion.

Tragic - yes.

However, is nobody else concerned with 15 year old kids playing with 20-gauge shotguns in abandoned houses? Hello? Parents? Are you out there?

Guess you never played watch TV or movies. Shooting at explosives things is never a good thing, and these kids just demonstrated why. No pity here, just laughter.

that's because the dog wasn't stupid enough to shoot a box full of explosives.

So by a lot of your reasoning, if you do something stupid at any point in your lifetime you deserve to die for it? This is a kid for crying out loud. I used to shoot stuff, set stuff on fire, and attempt to blow things up when I was young, it's just what boys do when growing up and if you haven't experimented I feel sorry for your growing up having no risky fun. My point is that, ya the kids were stupid doing what they did, but 15 year old kids don't deserve to have their lives ended based on one momentary brain lapse. I can kind of chuckle at it and think man they were stupid, but really you have to admit that it is much too hard of a lesson for anyone to learn it that way.

How true. Not at 15, though, but at 10 I wanted to blow up everything, literally. I used to blow up bottles etc. One boy I didn't know personally was badly injured when he played similar games. Heck, I still think I was blessed by God to have everything in place after all the things I did as a kid before I became ~smart (or maybe I'm just more stupid now, I have doubts).

No pity here, just laughter. - OulOat

If anything in the gene pool that needs cleansing it's the heartless morons like this. OulOat, if it was one of your children or famlies members I'm willing to bet it would not be laughter coming from your worthless mouth.

I guess no one here actually read the article... The boy that was doing the shooting wasn't the one who died, it was his friend. An innocent bystander was killed.

Sad, some of us do stupid things over and over, get second chances all the time. When others don't, then we tend to think they deserve it. I don't see anything amusing in that at all.

So true... It's as though empathy has completely been replaced by apathy. What a sad world we live in.

The only problem here is that the idiot who actually did the shooting didn't die. I mean, shooting explosives is the equivalent of laying down on the tracks to see how big the train is. You don't need a Mensa level I.Q. to figure out why that's a bad idea...

My brother had a 20 gauge at 14, & a .22 long before that.

The key is proper training.
