Teen finds $24k, returns $$$, refuses reward

While its great there are people like this, WHO THE HELL GOES TO WATCH A MOVIE WITH 24,000 DOLLARS IN CASH ON THEM!? She deserved to lose it!

Edit: Read the rest of the article about why she went to the theater, my original statement stands.

I can't believe that lady took $24,000 in cash into the theatre, and didn't even bother to check that she still had it in her purse when she left. Does anyone know if there are security cameras inside of those theatres? If not, I would have stuffed as many of those benjamins as I could inside my pockets and left the rest.

I'd like to think I'd return it, but I can't honestly say I would without being in that situation. I've got some carpet that is begging to be replaced with wood flooring.

You'd be suprised how much money some people carry on them at a single time.

When I worked at a home supply house, sometimes the contractors that came in the morning would pay for supplies with $2k-$5k in cash, with at least double that left over in "the wad."

I'd never put anything down on a movie theater floor, they're always sticky.

She's an idiot. I don't care how much you love you daughter taking that kind of cash to a movie is just stupid.

Kudos to the guy for returning it.

Liberal arts student, eh?

That's the last time he'll ever have that much money.

Hehehe reminds me of the old joke,

How do you get a liberal arts major off your front porch?

Pay for the pizza.

That's too much money to not give back, honestly. I'd give it back without thinking twice...

And I give him credit for not wanting a reward either. There's no reason the lady should pay him for doing the right thing, and I'm glad he realized that.

Me too, I'd split that $24K with you.

no one deserves to lose 24k.
