teen angst: I never share opinions with people (explained)

being a teen, I'm constantly getting new ideas and changing my opinions on various things. that's ok, but here's the problem:

I've noticed that almost always when somebody I'm interested in has an opinion about somthing, it's the same opinion I had a month or two ago, but now I have a completely different opinion. I wish I could share their opinion, and I would share their opinion if we had just dicussed that topic a month or two ago. It happens far to often to be just a coincidence. There's got to be some reason for this, but I haven't a clue what it is.

You are growing up and changing your mind.

check your personality type. do a google for myers-briggs test. i'm an ENTP and i frequently change my mind about issues too. it really sucks, i gotta work on being consistent with what i say because i hate people who contradict themselves. entps are called the lawyer types, because they like to argue both sides.

ok, its time to grow up if you are seriously thinking you change ever month. i am 18 and i figured i was past that stage at 16. i generally dont change my mind about anything anymore, and depending on how old you are, you either need to act your age, or just deal with it. i have a full time job and go to school full time. soon enough, when you are in a situation like mine or similar to it, you will see that everything you "change your mind" about is retarded and not even worth wasting energy thinking about.

At least you realize you are changing your mind. It's called growing up, having new experiences, new insight. Keep it up:beer:

right right, I agree it's good to change your mind (albeit embaressing at times) because it means you're considering new ideas and expanding your understanding. I'm just saying it's weird how at any given time I'm thinking something different than the other person. I mean a lot of times somebody interesting will be talking about something with me and have a certain opinion, and I can remember arguing really strongly in favor of that opinion with all kinds of examples and reasoning, but now when I hear them talk about it, I just can't seem to bring myself to agree.
