Ted Nugent - Stranglehold

Is it just me or is this an awesome song? I always liked it but never paid much attention to it until that pre-orgy rave in the movie Rock Star.

His only good song.

Free For All?
Cat Scratch Fever?
Wang Dang Sweet Poontang?
Paralyzed?

I dunno about the others but Cat Scratch Fever is just generic 80s rock IMO.

Nugent was producing 80's rock in the mid 70's? Years ahead of his time I see.

Whenever. 70s, 80s rock, it's all the same.

I know what you mean.
I, myself, often mix up Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Eagles with Tears for Fears and the Thompson Twins.

😕

😉

As well I tend to confuse Deep Purple and Flock of Seagulls. Those 70's and 80's bands are so interchangeable.

And Stormtroopin. The songs themselves weren't that great, but his playing was.

You know whats funny. As someone that was raised in the 70's, I didn't think artists like Ted Nugent, Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Fleetwood Mac or any of the other major bands from the era sounded much alike at all. Some of their stuff didn't sound good, but that was a taste thing.

One of my favorite CD's is Ted Nugent's Double Live Gonzo. 2 CD's of rib cracking rock n roll at it's finest.

Fred Bear. Unfortunately, Deadly Tedley will probably never make another good song. He is way too busy evangelizing the merits of hunting and trying to convince everybody to kill and eat animals. I don't really care if people hunt or not, but I'm sick of hearing him talk about it.

BTW, Stranglehold is one of my favorite songs. Great while having sex.

F*CK You, I'm An American is a wicked song that tells it like it is. I like seeing both Nug and Derek St. Holmes play it (2 times at Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta) and when Nug had Derek join him onstage in 2000 just like old times. Kiss was supposed to be on a farewell tour that year too.

Sometime you want to get higher, sometimes you got to start low, I got new for you, you never got to go.

*zeroes the sights on his PSG-1*

... where's Ted now?

no, wait - maybe I shud use a crossbow instead. pokey pokey time, Ted ol' buddy
