I did not know that. I too would have said one hit, Wango Tango. For me he simply resurfaced around 2000 and I said "Holy shit, anybody know Ted Nugent was still alive?"

If I want screaming hard rock/heavy metal I'll choose Yngwie Malmsteen, who can play just as fast but actually makes sounds that appear to have been made on purpose. And who as far as I know, isn't crazy.

Man I really love some of his music. Stormtroopin', Snakeskin Cowboys, Dog Eat Dog, Wango Tango, Fred Bear, etc... Hell his hit "Cat Scratch Fever" is a legit good song. If you like classic rock and have only heard the two songs "Cat Scratch Fever" and "Stranglehold" I recommend checking out his other stuff, there are some real gems.

That said I generally don't care what the political views of the artists that created the music I listen to are. I don't agree with Nugent on a number of issues but it's not like he is running for office so whatever.
