Ted Nugent To Jam For Crawford Marching Band

Nugent, who recently relocated from Michigan to tiny Crawford, home of President George W. Bush's ranch, is expected to play old favorites like "Cat Scratch Fever" at a sold-out show at Crawford High School.

As the only Texas high school band invited by Bush to the inauguration, the 26 members and 10 sponsors needed to raise about $48,000 to fly to the nation's capital.

They plan to play "The Yellow Rose of Texas" during a parade down Pennsylvania Avenue.

Nugent, a well known conservative and avid hunter, told The Dallas Morning News for an online story that he volunteered after hearing through the grapevine that the kids needed help.

Heh, I might just go boar hunting on one of his guided hunts...

I love ted nugent.. don't agree at all with some of his politics but that dude knows how to live life on his terms. Dudes basically a viking living in modern times.

What does the A in D.A.R.E. stand for? He also makes appearances on Howard Stern's show, David Letterman's show, etc. I'll grant he's often more Conservative than Liberal, but has way too many ultra-Liberal viewpoints to be painted a Conservative (see his opinions on ecology & conservation).
