tecmobowl for the Wii is on hold indefinately

They are actually calling their Wii game "Family Fun Football"? It just sounds destined to be a 3/10 game with a shovel ware name like that.

Tecmo and Super Tecmo were my favorite Nintendo games ever... I just don't know how much fun it will be now.. 20 some odd years later. I will probably give it a shot though on the 360.

Hah, my brother and my cousin play through an entire season every Thanksgiving an NES in my grandparent's basement that has survived so many soda spills by younger cousins that the hatch had to be removed because the hinge was too gunked up.

Didn't they say they were going to remove the player names? What's the point if you can't play as Bo? RB #20 just isn't the same...

It would be RB RAIDERS

You know, like QB EAGLES

Yes, but wasn't it QB EAGLES #12?

Besides, there are two running backs, so what would Marcus Allen be?

Hmm, I always preferred Tecmo Super Bowl on SNES. One of the handful of SNES cartridges I actually own.

Detroit Lions all the way. Barry Sanders and Herman Moore on offense, Pat Swilling for 15 sacks a game on defense.

Thats a tradition I need to start with my brother when we go back home. Break out the NES and make him mad again so he throws the controllers and stomps off outside to ride his bike.

Joe + Jerry = 110 yard touchdowns + Lott = intercept everytime you throw the ball =

WIN

Yes, I actually played as the Niners most of the time, because they are my favorite team, and were totally OP in the 80s and 90s. 😛

You forgot to mention Roger Craig though. He was a decent HB. You also forgot John Taylor, who was a better receiver than most other teams' primary receiver.

The Raiders were broken because Bo was insane and Howie Long was worth about 20 sacks a game.

They hike the ball, Howie runs diagonal down, dives over the center, SACK!

who wants to run the ball with roger craig when you have a guaranteed touchdown on first down? if you make it to third down without a touchdown, your doing something wrong...

lol...
