How do you know this? In any case it sounds like it's a DX9 game with bolted in DX11 features, not too promising.

You're misunderstanding an important aspect of the Engine. CryEngine2 supported DirectX10, and CryEngine3 supports directx11. It's just there. It's part of the engine, and therefore part of any game that uses it.

Besides, I know my way around the editor, and it's been confirmed in other discussions. The console build is absent of PC textures/models to save space.

They gave some interesting data, this has been done many times in the past, and you're all being hypocrites, as former or current receivers of the benefit of friendly distribution.
