Right away I’ll say that in practical game testing – including testing with the integrated graphics – Skylake just doesn’t seem to benefit substantially from faster memory. This may change with DirectX 12, but modern games seem to be more capacity intensive than speed intensive. However, for any kind of multimedia work, memory speed becomes much more relevant.

They didn't test any games but if this is true it might put some other benchmarks saying otherwise into question. Skylake also seems to have a pretty good DDR4 memory controller because latency is pretty low.

What a nonsense. 2133MHz C15 has higher latency than 1600MHz C9.

This test is bollocks. Not even CL specs available from their tested memory on this site. You can be sure that they mean with practical game testing a GPU limit. Techspot is a poor testing site.
