Technical Question on Notebook PC - Lenovo Laptop

Hey guys,

I have a technical question for you that I hope you can help me.

I just bought a new cheap/basic laptop from Lenovo (model: 3000 C200),
and I guess I get what I paid for ($450) as it doesn't come with Windows Recovery Disc, in fact no Disc at all. Everything is stored in a separate partition in the HD
I understand this is a common practice now among Notebook makers to save $, and my question is:

Is there any way i can extract the recovery data in that partition and put it in a disc myself?
The operating system is Windows Vista Basic Home
And when I look at the partition using "disk Management", I saw the partition in EISA config (whatever that is 🙂). No other information is shown.

I tried to order it and it cost $45.00 + s/h even if it is still new & under warranty.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

Marcel

You should be able to burn recovery discs with the included software. Look around under the Start Menu for something like "Lenovo Care"

Thanks fbrdphreak,

Yap, the option is right there in my face 🙂

Didn't see the Lenovo Care software, I looked at "think vantage",and it was empty.

Thanks again, bud

Appreciate it a lot

Marcel
