Technical question: How is the image build up in the computer?

Hello, folks!

Who knows where I can find good technical explanations about how the image is created on the computer?

My professor in University is teaching how a common TV works and our homework is explain to him how the computer monitor works (pretty easy, isn't it?...). Even though both are video displays, I am sure they work quite different.

This is a work for a good Eletronic Engineer! Who can help me?

Note the graphic about interlace, modern monitors do not use interlaced video any more. They paint every line for every frame.

A computer monitor is based on the same technology as a TV Screen, just a LOT better.
