hey folks, I've downloaded some programs that require the .Net framework (1.1.4322) to run. I have this installed on my computer already, but somehow managed to disable it. I went into the services.msc menu and tried reactivating the ASP.net service and get this error message:

Could not start the ASP.net state service on local computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

I've gone through Black viper's SP2 tweaks in the past and thought that could be the problem, so I reenabled about 15 services I had previously disabled, then tried setting the service to automatic and starting it again, without success.

Any ideas on how to get this thing working?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply...One problem though. I don't see it in the add/remove programs or add/remove windows components boxes. How the heck do I uninstall it?

.NET Framework is not included in the standard Windows Install. Look for Microsoft .NET Framework in with the standard programs.
