technical dificulties, or in other words, Dang now i find out!

well about 2 weeks ago, a fan in one of the hubs in my office started making noise, so I determined the make, a sunon, and ordered it up from subzeropc. they ship me it. then my boss tells me, he'd ordered another hub, and when it comes, we'll slip in the new hub, replace the bad fan, then put this hub upstairs to add more space for artists. well we've been waiting nearly a week for said hub, and since have recieved a 10/100 16 port switch from some one here. so we switched in the switch for this hub, and i pull out the old fan, move the connector to the new fan, mount it, then i say, hey lets check the wattage. well the dead fan is a 5 volt. and the new fan is a 12 volt. dang it all!! shoot. there's no way i can get 12v out of the hub, unless I add another tap to it's psu. and i'm not sure they'd like that. shoot, any one know of any 5 volt 40 mm fans?

er...why not just cross the wire to create 5v?
