I d/l 25 units, the first one finished in 3:40 it tried to transmit , but reported "nosuch file or directory" and "will try again in 1 hour".
I.m new to this and would like to know if this is normal. Also I've benn readingthepost and seeing that you can cache them and send them later. What do I have to do to set this up???

1. You say you downloaded 25 WUs, are you using SETIDRIVER or another caching program?
2. Berkeley has been having some problems off and on. If running SETIDRIVER, how did you setup the proxy info?
 
That's the message that the SETI client box gives me when it can't connect to OrangeKid's SETIQue server. When this happens, I close the SETI client's window and hit Transmit in SETIDriver when I'm ready to try again. This does not cause the completed work unit to be lost.

Techniauto, Berkeley was having a bandwidth problem and sending/receiving wu's was just not happening on auto. The message you saw is normal, we all got it. Just be patient, all will be well.

Hi, guys, I turned off the transmit last night and transmiteed this morning at 6am and it went ok.

Is it normal that the cache stays at 25, i d/l 25 units when i signed up yesterday around 4:30 and i have 4
finished and working on the 5th wu, but the cache is always a 25. does it d/l to keep if filled or what?

And how do you set up a proxy? This is from Smokeball's reply in the other forum.😕

Also i just signed up for a 12 month membership and the pages are nice and fast now. I read alot of threads but don't post that much😀
I usually get the answers I need just by doing searches.

I'm setting up my second bx this afternoon.

yeah, thanks Baldy, I have a couple more questions that i posted in the other thread.😱

How do i set up a proxy?
 
You don't need a proxy but if you wanted all your networked computers to send the results to a proxy on one computer to dump them at the same time I would use SetiQueue. The default setting will work just fine but by tinkering around you can switch things like scheduled dump time and such around. Just put the network address of the proxy computer in the proxy field of setidriver and also the port number 5517 (default setiqueue port but can be switched).

Thanks , i found the setting on seti driver, but it seems to be working fine now. 😀
 
Well mine is the same xp1600+ @ 1800 water cooled, (home made) temp stays at 30.5C😀
I could post some picts , but don't how. I can't paste a pict in here.
