Does this mean vanilla GTX 680 go for $550? I bet nVidia was ecstatic when they saw AMD price their 7970 so high. Gives them the excuse to do the same without looking bad.

Based off the THG leaked slides, I'm gonna guess that the 7970 will have to drop to $489 to look respectable.

There are also rumors from FuD that nV is asking retailers to start at $499 for the GTX 680. If that's the case, then I think we'll start to see fireworks.
