vi_edit: okay, next challenge. Figure out how to enable the MP3 recording capabilities of a VoodooTV 200, supposedly you just go to 3dfx's website and register the card. But the page doesn't exist and even 3dfx's support won't help me

Closest I've found is the app where you put your name and registration password into. But w/o a registration password I'm still stuck. Maybe I need to get the help of some 1337 d00dZ.

Ahh vi_edit beat me to the punch . Yep, that was a tough one and I think I tried everything except what vi did. I just happened to catch a link on a Linux modem compatibility kb that led to em. I see, I left out the '-'. Amazing what changing a few characters will do

Viper: yeah, it's a damn good card with excellent output. Too bad like when I got my STB V4400 and my Diamond V770 the companies got killed.

I'm wondering if I should stop buying retail HW, every time I do the company dies. (we'll see if Matrox is around in 3 mos)

If we could keep looking, I'd like to find a US FTP (I'm getting pushy, I know).

You see, the modem supports supports FCC,CTR21 and JATE standards and I have a EUROPEAN driver (CTR21?), but apparently it doesn't work here in the states and I imagine this is a DRIVER issue and not a MODEM issue. It actually dials different tones and too many digits, despite how Windows is set up.

I'll try vi's link, but it looks like the same driver I already have and it doesn't work.

Just wanted to let you all know that those drivers did the trick! The modems work fine now!

Always new I could count on my Anandtech buddies!
