Anyone have any suggestions for a tech related magazine that isn't afraid to talk intelligently about tech rather than assuming I am not a "techie"? One that talks about mobile as well as desktop, and even future platforms such as smart watches and the IoT? I would really love a magazine that can satiate my need for higher quality info, as I enjoy the experience more than staring at a computer monitor, while knowing full well that the information I seek is a Google search away. The thing is though, you don't know what you don't know until someone proves that you don't know it! That is the main benefit of reading from a magazine... It provides the reader with a broad variety of topics that they pick for me to read, so you can find some hidden gems that you would have never thought to look up. The problem is nothing is complex enough for my needs. Suggestions, or is this a lost cause?

CPU magazine (computer power user)

They also do stuff like budget builds, overclocking tutorials or benchmarking hardware, water cooling setups, custom builds...etc.

Actually there are a ton of different magazines still out there. Dozens and dozens anyway. Just for computers, games and tech in general there are quite a few.

I guess you don't visit book stores as they usually have shelves of mags.
We have this store in our mall and they have tons of printed mags for sale and these are not every magazine still out there in printed form btw.

There are also a lot of hobby magazines like R.C cars. How to mags, construction related stuff, medical, business...I mean seriously how can you not know there are still lots of printed mags for sale out there? Many stores still cary some, I think even Walmart carries a few at least.

*edit: forgot to mention a few tech mag examples. Smart computing, PC mag, PC world, Wired, technology review, CIO
There are also the more specific tech mags that focus on brands or specific technologies like there are several Apple and Windows centric magazines such as iPhone&Ipad or there's also Android magazine and probably a few others dealing with mobile devices.
I don't know how many gaming magazines there are but I know of several unless any recently died out or something.

Of course the 2 mentioned here for PC are the best as far as what anyone on this forum would want to read anyway. My point is, that printed magazines are not really going anywhere and there are even some pretty stupid mags out there. Some do die out of course like the recent Macworld but there is printed competition along with competing with the internet.
