I don't get it. Why has not The Free Market corrected this problem already? Maybe we need to deregulate them some more? Yes, I'm sure that is the problem.

Do you think that people have this weird sort of obsession with unfettered Capitalism? I wonder if it has to do with this weird idea that some people have where making a negative remark against something means you're against it. In other words, if I am critical of Capitalism, then I must be a proponent of Communism. Given that terms such as "socialist" are a dirty word to some, it isn't much of a surprise that any relation to Communism (whether real or manufactured) would be considered negative too.
What I usually like to say to people is this... "You know, it would be nice if we didn't have to have regulations on companies or people. However, you can't always rely upon people to do what the majority would consider the ethical thing to do." It always feels awkward when I have to make these remarks toward folks that are also religious. It has been a while, but I'm pretty sure there's something in The Bible about a golden calf and not worshiping money?
